A Day in My Moccasins

Friday Feast #116

Appetizer
What is your favorite beverage?

Fruity milk shakes, yoghurt drinks, fruit juices – watermelon, lemonade, but all these I can do without except for my morning cup of coffee…. just 1 will do but I cannot survive without it…

Soup
Name 3 things that are on your computer desk at home or work.

monitor, keyboard, mouse…;-) okay, pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus & Immaculate heart of Mary on the board at my table, the telephone, a desktop calendar of my company, bottle of water…

Salad
On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being highest), how honest do you think you are?

Maybe a 6…. I don’t really know. We really get so good at lies, we sometimes do it before even realising… Lies to ourselves, to avoid hurting people, to put off getting things done, making things uncomfortable…

Main Course
If you could change the name of one city in the world, what would you rename it and why?

I think it would be this very city I live in… Bring back the old name of Bombay as against the Mumbai…. There was a reason and meaning behind the old name…

Dessert
What stresses you out? What calms you down?

I don’t tend to get stressed out. If I do, the waterworks start pretty soon or I rage or something & it’s all let out… yes I am terrible I cry very easily…. if I am angry, if I am sad, if I am happy, if I am touched… even if I laugh too much………bad huh???!!!

Obviously I don’t really know you, but I think you’re underscoring yourself with that 6 for honesty! From what I can gather reading your blog, you seem like a pretty honest/genuine/empathetic person.

Incidentally, I would be fascinated to find out why the name was changed from Bombay to Mumbai and what the reasons behind the old name were. Maybe an idea for a future post? Have a good weekend.

Great feast! I think 6 is a bit low. But people who say 10? I don’t think they are being honest with themselves. I wonder if they could look at their drivers license and say they are the weight they say! LOL Ok, Ok, I am not to judge. Have a wonderful day and weekend!

Great feast this week and great pics!!!

Mmm, love milkshakes. Nice feast. Thanks for stopping by.

I’m leaving a comment here, although all the other comments refer to your 20 October post. Yes, I had noticed that WordPress is acting weird. No idea what to suggest, I’m afraid, I’m the least technical person in the world.

Sorry to hear about your nephew… that girl must have really bashed into him for him to necessitate stitches. Poor little boy. I agree that the girl’s parents should be informed — irrespective of whether it was an accident or not. Not so much so she can be reprimanded (unfortunately accidents happens and I’m inclined to think that this was not meant to happen), but because, as you say, they should at the very least compensate your sister for the expenses she incurred. And apologize. Many times over!

Oh, I’m sorry about your little nephew. I’m glad it wasn’t any worse, but it’s sad that it was as bad as it was. I agree, I think the girl’s parents should be told what happened.

About the comments over here, I’ve noticed that they have been acting funny the last several days too, whenever I have left a comment on your blog. For one thing alot of your posts are showing up as having zero comments, but most have several comments. And (like you mentioned) all the comments are mixed up from post to post and date wise. I hope you can get it all sorted out.
